The noise phenomenon in the F-B differential was identified from the trials and measurements. It was concluded that the reason for the noise observed is the friction characteristics of rubbing surfaces. Preliminary trials proved this to be the right direction. To optimize the solution, a simulation model was developed, and based on the solution of the model, design changes were suggested.
